Its Monday!!!!! Memorial day!

Happy Memorial day, the cook-outs, summer park lunches, and beaches is all very close in sight! Today I stood home and watched a few movies with Jermaine my daughter and my sister before she headed back to Virgina! I cant believe how hot it is in NY! i need summer attire soo bad! I have to pack all our winter clothing and see what we need to buy new! <- Fun times! I also washed my wool soaker for the first time and lanolized it! i must say it was fairly simple! I followed this pattern and had a blast! I might be going to the mall tomorrow with my aunt! Its always nice to take a Small trip! Okay so now on to the fun stuff! pictures!!! there's a million and one pictures i would love to share with you! I will be making a separate post for them! see you there :)

flat challenge update.... were back....

okay so i did take a short unplanned trip to VA, but i did stick to cloth until the last day, didn't want to travel on a public bus back to NY w/ dirty diapers! I did fine, during the day i used receiving blankets and at night i used fitted w/wool. The flats didn't last a whole night so after the first leak i just switch because i took fitted and wool w/ me! I also wash by hand EVERYDAY!!!! so since i was in VA and at my sisters (she has a washer and dryer) Yes i did use it! but i only did because i know IT'S DOABLE to wash by hand everyday, that's how i have been doing cloth diapers so that wasn't the challenge for me! I'm very happy to say that i did it! I even used cloth for my mommy expo that i attended last weekend w/ much success! I will keep using cloth for outing because i <3 my cloth diapers, I've had great experience with them! I will be purchasing more pockets for outing so easy ANYONE can use it! but beside that I'm pretty happy with my stash! I will update a ton of pictures on MONDAY, and i say Monday because my youngest sister is in NY and staying at my house I wont have much computer time! But Monday we will get a photo blast  !!!

week away...

okay just wanted to update all my readers.... I decided to take a short week long trip to my sisters house in Virginia. I have limited access to the web.. so this might just be my first an only blog from va this week. I have stuck to using flats but use fitted's with wool for nighttime! Its going by swell I enjoy being around my sisters an their kids, an let me say there's alot of them! haha... by age its Kiara (12) Maximus (11) Marques (8) Christopher (4) Julius (3) Arius (2) my older sister's Yudiry and Clarabelle.. to that add Haylie a yorkie thats almost one and my eight month old daughter Samaya! needless to say there is always something going on! i've missed this! Tomorrow i will be doing my best to go sleep over at my younger sisters house! I'm soooooo excited! Cindy we will be there soon enough!!! i wish i can post pictures but.... something is wrong with my camera... boo.... i will try to get it up and running but i dunno....

another thing... my baby Samaya learned how to crawl... omg yes i thought she was never going to crawl but it happened! we are sooooo excited! she isn't to comfortable just yet but when i get back home I'm hoping she will be able to move around by herself with ease! hope everyone that is doing the flat challenge is still going strong and staying as true to flats as possible! and Handwashing!!!! where have the days gone ...

It seems as if the days are passing by so fast... i blink and a few days have passed... I'm not sure where are my days going but i do have something to look forward to, tomorrow is my momma expo I'm so excited! I cant wait to see some of the new products and meet some mommas! I will be going with Jassil and Baby Mia! I'm overly excited! Ha ha, but on another note Sammie did start to sleep in her pnp but shes still waking at night. And omg I got my period, TMI I know but wow nine months after my baby girl was born, I totally forgot that feeling of backaches, headache and over all tiredness and swollen'es! I've been doing allot of thinking and have allot on mind these last few weeks.... might be the place where all my headaches come from... I'm also ready for my flat challenge! I have my flats ready and my covers! i will post pictures the day i start! My sister Clari is in town, i saw her briefly yesterday night and maybe we will be hanging out today again.. dunno.. Its almost 3 pm here and I've managed to paint my nails! cuddos for me, haven't done that in a while! baby is sleeping (on my chest) but sleeping so i will take it! lmao! Now to walk the dog and cook dinner as my sister just canceled... nothing new... ttyl.

why, am i joing the flat challenge...

The reason why I wanted to join is simple! I want all mothers and all my readers to see how simple it can be and how economical it really is to cloth diaper a child. I hate to read stories of family's that have to wash and re use disposable diapers, there really is NO need for that, there's truly is a cheaper option out there! Now I will also say I have fortunate enough to never be in that situation, but what this challenge is going to show is that a baby blankets can go a long way. I will be using one dozen Birdseye's cotton flats from GMD and baby blankets that I got for my baby shower, any 100% 27x27 will work! I will only use 5 covers but have yet to decide which! When I do I will take pictures and post! my Birdseye flats were less than twenty bucks i Might also use liners but a pack of 200 cost ten dollars and you can reuse the peed ones about 4 times! Again feel free to look on the right and click on the link! read about it! even if its just to know, you never know when you just might run out of diapers and need to use something in a pinch! this is that SOMETHING!!! No child has to get sick, or wear any diaper for more than three hours (of course unless there sleeping for 12 hrs who wants to mess with that)!  Thank you for reading and hope you join me on this ride!
