heading back home..

so today we head back to new york.. had a great time in VA with my sister's and thier kids.. i miss them so, boys are from a diffrent species.. (lol) but where would we be without them..<3 the boys.. Kiki was also a blast to hang out with (she's the only girl beside Sammi). I had a blast and cloth diapering went well, i washed once and today im doing a cleaning wash so that i wont travel with dirty diapers! My little sister Cindy will be driving down to ny, i cant wait for that journey! Well time to relax and get ready! ill be posting some pictures when i get home!

mini vacation DC,VA....

okay so today we (Clarabelle my older sister, Samaya the baby and me) are heading to VA to chill for a week! 1st time traveling with my baby girl and first time traveling with cloth diapers! I'm very excited to say the least! but hey a few things have happened today, 1st i found my engagement ring.. yes i had mis-placed it and was so scared! but its FOUND!!!! then there's seat belts and wi-fi on this bus so ill be busy while baby sleeps! so happy! Now for diapers we are using best bottoms with gdiapers biodegradable inserts and flips disposable inserts ive tried both at home and both do the job! So i expect the t be smooth! When i get to VA i packed my flats because there so easy to wash! 12 of them and a few of my favorite covers, best bottoms, gdiapers, some WAHM, and tuck and go's! i hope to wash Tues night Thurs night, and Friday morning because I'll be heading back to NY on Friday evening! hope everything goes well, i do and will miss my husband to be and my dogs because I'm a very stay at home kinda gal, but we all need some alone time! maybe ill post from VA but i will be relaxing and enjoying family time! so goodbye for now!

week one!

okay so i really cant believe its only been one week! It feels like a month has gone by but whatever! I now have some favorites for day time and some favorties for nights and we also have daddy diapers n mommys diapers which sound funny but they have lables! i do wash every other day, but only becasue i am in love with flats which its very old school (picture a baby blanket folded up to be the absorbant layer of a diaper) and i only have  12, i love they wash and dry FAST! overnight pretty much and are have good absorbancy they last samaya about two hours during the day! now for covers im in love with fleece, yes i know it isn't water proof but its so breathable i feel like sammi's booty gets lots of air n we keep the booty rashes away! I love my WAHM covers one there SUPER CUTE and two its fleece so i like! beside that i do still use my tuck and go covers for nights with an all bamboo insert i started last night to add a hemp insert wowza!! i will be doing that everynight! no leaks at all!! <3 it! i also use pockets at nights and they work well i stuff two all bamboo inserts and its bulletproof or PEE PROOF!  I will add a picture of samaya in her WAHM covers with a flat insert! so good bye for now! oh thats our daytime diaper!

why did i doubt myself?

i dont know why i never started cloth in the beginning like i wanted to, i love it. So far ive been out visiting my family, laundry, and a few quick runs here and there but i love it, the true test will be if i go for a few days to my sisters house in va? will i make it or quit! I am still trying to get the night time diapering down but thats because i want to try everything so fast! i must say though i feel like im changing less diapers now... kinda sad. lol, but hey i love it! i enjoy washing also, so far ive had a few poops but its nothing... what is bugging me is that i still use regular wipes and its a pain, i need to get a garbage can for the baby room (thats where i change diapers) and my pail bag(where i put my dirty cloth) is in the bathroom... gotta work that out.. I will say my baby's bum looks great no rashes, not even red! i use cocnut oil as a barrier to prevent diaper rashes every other change and at night, the same way i was using destin. Oh i did notice one change, i was the type of mom that liked the clothing on my baby snug so i would buy clothing on the small side, but now with her huge cloth butt i need to buy clothes a size bigger! Thats okay anyways, since we dont wear pants at home! I am working on how to update pictures (not very computer savvy but hey i try) now to sleep.

Mini...breakdown..

okay so here it is
I have purchased most of my stash from a site called NappyShoppe.com - the owner's name is Sharron Fantasic MOM! they have wonderful service i have been talking to (on the phone, Skype, email and text) with Ashley, shes wonderful at answering my million questions!
I got 4 diaper covers ($14.94 each) all  medium because Sammi is about 17lbs i think and this goes from 12-22lbs
13 all bamboo Gflapper style ($7.70 each)- signature to the nappyshoppe (made by Sharron herself) liners (i got bamboo for two reasons it absorbs the most, and is super fast and easy to wash by hand)
I also got 1 pack disposable liners to hold poop($11 bucks for 200). so I lay this on top of the bamboo liner when baby poops i just lift this and the peanut buttery type poop that my baby has now will go straight in the trash or flushed. none on the bamboo liner!yay !!
1 wet bag($8) to hold dirty diapers when were are out and about, this bag is water proof so pee'd liners dont soak through it.
1 pail liner ($14) ( just a big wet bad) for the house to keep dirty diapers in. - i keep this in the bathroom
2 packs of disposable inserts ($5 bucks of 18pcs). so this is the absorbant part of the diaper if im out and dont want to carry soak pee liners i use these and they can  go in the trash.
now i have also gotten a few diaper from some Work At Home Mom's also WAHM. they are fantasic and i would much rather buy something from a mother herself than to by big Name Brand Diapers. so when i get my camera back hopfully by this weekend i will start to post picture of my baby with them and all that good stuff! we are having fun and loving cloth to say the least because it NO different!

cheated..

okay so i am still missing my camera but i do have some cell shots. i could wait anymore. I started to cloth diaper last night around 5pmish. My baby responded well, i was amazed one diaper lasted four hours (we took a  nap), for the first diaper i used a dispoable insert because i wasnt to see how much pee it holds (this is what ill be using if i go somewhere and dont have access to a washer/dryer or a tub to wash her cloth diapers in) away for the weekend or such! its GREAT!!!!!! then the real test came and started our bedtime routin and prep a cloth diaper for bedtime! one all bamboo insert with my AI2 cover. She was doing great woke up @ 5 am crying i assumed it was the diaper i changed but after i did that i realize the diaper wasnt even half soaked and she was in that diaper from 10pm-5am thats great! we nursed and went back to bed. At 9am baby woke up hungry we nursed then I was talking to jermaine and Samaya put on her ima poop face! my FACE WENT BLANK!!!!!! i didnt know what i was going to do, i wanted to put a disposable diaper one her quick but it was to late SHE POOPED IN HER CLOTH!!! now who's gonna clean. Jermaine got up put his clothes on and said "Honey im going to get breakfast" HAHA. well after she finished i said okay do or die! I opened her diaper it was pretty much contained I like that poop, i am still using regular wipy so its a pian to put them aside and not inside the diaper like i used to.. somthing to think about for me.. i put a new diaper on her and went to the bathroom, opened the diaper and just flipped it over the poop just fell out! i was amazed!!!! yay!!! i will be keeping this up and my next post will have better discriptions and all the products that i am using !! this just just my sneak peak!! thanks for joining me! - Today i have an eye appt and Jermaine isnt 100% cloth savvy so baby Samaya will be in disposables until Mommy gets home!

....it makes me wanna wag my tail.... when it comes i wanna YELLL... MAILL!!! haha...okay so I just got my cloth diapers!!! Yay!! have to do the initial wash but i don't have my camera so I wont put them on my baby until I get my camera back (left it at my aunt's house. he he) I will be posting pictures and full descriptions of the diapers! now im off to wash because I want to start asap!! I will show and describe what and how I wash at home! talk to you guys soon! maybe again tonight!

anxious...

okay so I finally have started my blog!! yay for me and my cousin who help me name it, and yay for the friends who yay or nay my title names for the last few days. As I type this im skyping with Jellybean and Samaya is being a brat (maybe teething?) who knows but we are also starting cloth! by the end of this month I will have my stash ready! soo excited! <3 it! Samaya is 6 months now and has solid food two to three times a day, she is also breastfed on demand.. what is that you ask.. when ever she's hungry, whining, reaching for the boob or just out of control she is fed via the breast. She also sleeps thru the night. yes i co-sleep, it works for me one day she will be sleeping in her crib but when will that day come I dunno.. stop asking!
